I was asked to do a full paint correction on a Volvo that had been machinepolished by a so called " pro-detailer" !!
The owner wasn't happy because the paint felt like sandpaper and there where holograms everywhere and the whole car was still covered with swirls!!
BEFORE.
AFTER WASHING with NXTcarwash & washmitt & 2bucketsystem.
AFTER CLAYING with Last Touch & white clay this became visible!
THEN TAPED ALL TRIMS .
AND COVERED THE CLEANED RIM'S.
DID A TESTSPOT : m83 on a w8006 polishingpad with the rotarybuffer did not remove any off the swirls,so i stepped up to m84 on a w7006 cuttingpad wich worked wonders en did remove all swirls after 1 pass !
WITH THIS COMBO I DID THE ENTIRE CAR.
AFTER CHECKING IN FULL SUNLIGHT I WAS PLEASED TO SEE THAT THERE WERE NO HOLOGRAM'S SO I DECIDED TO MOVE ON TO m80 on a w8006 polishingpad on the rotarybuffer.All picture's after m80 with no wax applied!!!
AFTER REMOVING ALL POLISHINGRESIDUE : applied m21 followed by m16, while m16 was left to cure i polished the rims with All Metal Polish and sealed them afterwards with m21 and finished them off with NXTtechwax.
