unbelievable. What's the secret to get the metal flake to pop like that? I have a dark blue pearl finish on my Audi and while the #7 and NXT 2.0 made a deep gloss, i would really like the metal flake to stand out.

Well clarity in the clear coat is the main thing. The clearer the clear coat the more the natural color can pop. If you have above surface contaminants or below surface defects like light oxidation and or swirls they distort the clear and weaken the visibility of the true color. Just like above surface contaminants, you cant necessarily always see it with your eyes but once you hit it with the clay you can really see all the contaminants that were sitting on the finish. Now all that stuff that is now on the clay was on the paint finish before distorting the clarity of the clear coat so unless you clay bar the car you can never really take advantage of the true color. Same thing goes for below surface defects, while #7 and NXT 2.0 are great products if you apply them on an oxidized surface it wont make the paint color pop. You will now just have a deep wet looking oxidized car so that why you want to make sure to throw in a good paint cleaner process as well. For this car i used #80 via rotart and topped it with NXT 2.0
