Thanks for the heads up guys.
Please do update us if anything happens to your pads, I have stopped using those pads as well, but only for the flex.

Flex is an awesome machine! A lot of power! Love your Honda, I'm a huge fan of Hondas, because of their reliability/resale value/quality/performance. great color too, I like it much better then plain silver. Plain silver is even more boring then plain white.

I concur! I've owned 6 Honda's now and just bought a new Acura this week. I've never had a serious issue with any of them and 2 of them had over 200,000 miles when I sold them.

So I still haven't seen any issues with the pads but Saturday something happened to the FLEX. There is some sort of white gasket that came unglued or something but It melted part of the backing plate and stopped the machine from working. I will be calling today about a replacement backing plate.

Sorry to hear that Rasky, let me know how your replacement issue goes... Are you using this machine now for everything or as a follow up to the rotary???

Well I really haven't been doing much for work now that I'm back in school but I plan to use the FLEX as my main buffer on retail jobs and I will use the rotary for dealer cars simply because of the speed.

I peeled the remaining gasket off of the backing plate and the unit still works...though there must be some reason it was there???

                Hey Sydster,

I finally ran into the issue with the pads that you mentioned. I had to do a black car and made 2 passes with M80. As the pad became saturated it started to get soft and then the backing plate started to cut away at it.

O-well, I guess I'll use my LC pads with the FLEX.

Thanks for the heads up though.
