    Re: My first full rotary car....

    Nice !!

    The A.J. Foyt Coyote Edition Mustang

    Image Racing legend A.J. Foyt has come out with his own limited edition Mustang dubbed the 'Coyote Edition'. This Mustang will mostly adorn body modifications including a full body kit with 20" wheels. It will be limited to just 500 units with a host of standard options and a few additional options. The cars will be made by custom car builder Heritage Customs out of Arlington, Texas.

    One of the big options on the Coyote Edition Mustang will be a Supercharger because one of the cars at Unique PerformanceFest where I found it had one installed but their site did not disclose any details about it so I am guessing it’s an option. Another car also had an in-dash DVD/Navigation system but I am unsure if that’s an option as well. Below are the options I obtained from their site along with a few photos.

    Standard Options Include:

    * Ground Effects (Front Fascia, Rear Bumper, Fender Flares, Side Skirts with Door Caps, Rear Window Louvers, Front Fender Vents, Rear Spoiler)
    * Twin Scooped Fiberglass Hood with Ram Air Induction
    * Color Keyed Mirrors
    * Rear Quarter Panel Side Scoops
    * A.J. Foyt Performance Exhaust
    * Black Mesh Grill with Center Fog Lights
    * 20” Chrome F18 Wheels with Toyo Tires
    * Coyote Striping with A.J. Foyt Logos
    * Chrome Billet Fuel Door
    * Number and Signed Dash Plaque
    * 3 year/36K mile warranty

    Other Options:

    * Suspension/Anti-Roll Bars, Higher Rate Springs, New Lower Control Arms and Billstein shock to create a 3/4” front and rear lowering effect below factory level (requires different tires)
    * Engine Programmer (requires special modification)
    * 410 Gears
    * Custom Leather with A.J. Foyt Logo in the Headrest
    * Supercharger (unknown)
    * In Dash DVD/Navigation Unit (unknown)

            Nick,

            Awesome work on the Mustang. Very impresive all done with a rotary, and only using 2 products. Way to go.

              20 hours of buffing into that car....wow that's a lot of time. When you look at the body though, there are a lot of curved, squared and pointed surfaces. Not lots of flat area. I imagine that adds a lot to the time factor.

              Awesome work!

                Yeah, that was the main thing. I think the only completely flat surface is the roof. Plus I was taking my time. I tend to spend a lot of time when removing defects from paint, plus I usually work alone.

                Thanks,

                        If you're getting paid for it, 20 hours in paint is about right to perfect it. And sir, you did that! Excellent work. The heat that a rotary generates gives a finish that no DA can touch.

                        I love your pics. What camera and settings are you using? It looks like HD TV!!!

                        Again, nice work and thanks for taking the time to post.

                          a question?

                          do you know how much did you cut from that paint versus maybe a , m84 m85 w/7006 pad?

                          im just curious hehe

                            Camera is an older Sony H1. I just use the automatic function, then resize the pics in another program. Thought about getting a newer camers since this one is only 5mp. But it works great!
