  • My first full rotary car....

Those of you who know me, know that my goal has been to buff and polish a car fully with a rotary...no DA(except for wax ) The depth and clarity are unbeatable on the cars that I've seen that don't have a DA on them.

Well, I'm happy to share with you guys my first successful full rotary job!

Started with M105 on a maroon Solo wool pad. Then moved on to M105 on a black Solo foam pad. Then a nice coat of NXT 2.0(love this stuff!). Please only look at the paint, the sun was heading down and I needed to get some shots of it quick. I may have the car for another day, and if so I will get some better pictures. But this is with a basic wipe down only, no heavy cleaning yet. Here are the results...

I've been doing the rotary thing for a while now. All of my initial buffing has been full rotary, but doing my final polishing with a DA. I could never get past the holograms and buffer swirls when I was trying to do my final polishing with a rotary.

Best advice I can give you is to be patient, and have a slow steady hand. Don't rush a thing! Just in this car, I have about 20 hours with a rotary. Come to think of it, I spend more time with that Makita than I do with my girlfriend Is that a bad thing?

Awesome job. Hopefully someday I can do half that good.

Hey, first of all awesome job!

What kind of Mustang is that? I notice on the front grill a little tag that says Coyote. Never seen one quite like that.

                Thanks for the compliments guys!

This is an AJ Foyt Racing, limited edition Mustang. Not sure how many they made, but this is #12. Kind of like the Saleen's

So the finish is swirl free and you didn't finish up with a finer polish, just M105 on a finishing pad!? Incredible! I think I need to get some M105 next time

Yes, the only products I used on this car are m105 and NXT 2.0.
M105 is an absolutely amazing product! Anyone not using it, should be!

That is amazing that you just used M105 and that you did the whole thing with the rotary, the finish looks perfect.

What did you do with the flat black paint?? Did you just tape that off?
