Great work Nick!!! That came out great! It really showcases the true knowledge and passion you have in detailing! Does it have single stage paint? How many pads did you use for doing M105 to the whole car?
I lived in France for a time and in a weird sort of way grew to love these crazy cars. They are so ugly they are almost beautiful (sort of like if you go far enough east you'll end up in the west). Does this one have the rear suspension system that raises when the car starts?
Jay Leno has one of these (albeit, a newer version) and did a review on it for his "Jay Leno's Garage" website. If you haven't been to his site before, be prepared to spend HOURS. hehehe
Opinions vary, of course, but the Citroen DS is widely considered to be one of the greatest cars of all time. It was decades ahead of it's time when it debuted in the late '50s and remains an amazing bit of automotive engineering. Personally, I love these things!
Nick, did get a chance to drive it or at least get a ride in it? It's a unique experience to say the least.-Michael Stoops

The Ciroean DS ( affectingly known as the Goddess) is a car that was 25 years ahead of its time. The DS has hydropneumatic suspension. There are no conventional shocks/springs. The DS uses compressed air to charge a liquid filled "shock" to raise and lower the ride height(owners could change the tires without a jack) of the car and provide and exceptionally smooth ride (in fact Rolls Royce used some of Citroen's technology to improve the ride of their vehicles). The DS had one of the lowest coefficient of drag in its day, returned exceptional gas mileage, and the basic design stayed in production until the early 1980's. They didn't sell well in the States due to the high price tag that placed it in direct competition to Cadillacs/Lincolns of the day (which had V8 engines compared to the inline four of the DS). However, these cars while quirky are superbly engineered and have a huge worldwide following.
Awesome job. Ive had the pleasure of doing 3 cars in the past 6 months with single stage paint (Red VW, Red Mustang GT & my own 90 Black Mustang) and the before/after is just unbelievable. I saved the VW & Red Mustang owners paint jobs, they couldnt believe it. And on the black Mustang I just purchased the owner had "needs paint" in the for sale ad. Knowing that it was single stage paint i talked him down over $1000 on the car and spent 2 days on it. Now it looks as good as new, better than any repaint. I would post some pics, but for some reason I cant post attachments.
