Beautiful job! I can't help also admiring your house, your garage, and your flowers in the reflection.

Sorry about the job. That threat is looming over us too within the next 3 months. The nice thing about detailing is, it can't be outsourced to overseas.

Good luck with the business. You did a beautiful job for your neighbor's truck.

        Ram,
Here is the stuff/process I used.I had ordered M105 and M205 with the full intent of using that. I am still waiting for it to be delivered so I had to go to plan B to ensure I had time to get it done before Steve arrived. Now I find out he has to spend a week somewhere in the states for debrief before he can come home!

        Engine:
        Prepped (covered) everything for wash
Spray Purple Power Degreaser. (still waiting on my Meguiars degreaser) Let stand for 15 minutes while using various brushes on heavy soiled areas.
Rinse with soft water, inspect for misses and touch up areas/rinse.
Blow off excess water with compressed air (70 psi) Uncover everything and start/run for 5 minutes.
Let cool and dress with Meguiars HD. (3:1)

        Exterior:
        Wash (Meguiars Gold Class).
Dry MF towels and compressed air (100 psi)
Clay entire truck with Meg Mild Clay and MQD for lub/MF towel

I was a bit concerned that I had the proper pad/product/machine combo, but I knew no one could help with that. It was me against the truck and it's condition to make the decision.

Complete tape off with blue painters tape.

Once I did my test spot:

Pass 1: Makita 9227CX3 with Swirl X and W8006 Polishing Pad. Hand buff with MF towel. I was really concerned about getting too aggressive so I only did one "light pressure" pass with the rotary. This REALLY brought out the shine/clarity compared to what it was when I started.

Pass 2 and 3: Swirl X with G100 DA (set on 5) and fresh W8006 pad. Hand buff MF towel between passes. There were about 5-6 areas where I had to use Scratch X with DA and fresh W8006 pad/by hand.

Pass 4: Meguiars Speed Galze (M80) with fresh W8006 pad and DA (yep 4 new pads if you're counting. But I marked all of them with what product I used for future use). Hand buff with MF towel.

Pass 5 and 6: Meguiars NXT Tech Wax 2.0 with DA and W9207 finishing pad (setting 3). Hand buff between applications with MF towels.

Other: Chrome was done with Meguiars Hot Rims Chrome Polish and MF towels.
Headlights, Cab Hi-light and tail lights all buffed with Meguiars PlastX and DA (setting 3) with old W8006 pad (designated strictly for this purpose).

Interior need very little attention which I was thankful for. Just a quick vacuum and wipe down with Meguiars Natural Shine. He really has keep the interior up very nicely.

Sorry for the long dissertation. I'm sure they will be just blurbs in the future as I progress.

Thanks for taking the time to do the "long dissertation." I have an exterior detail on my Ford Explorer in my future, and I am a bit of a newbie so this kind of explanation helps! Again, the truck looks fantastic!

well the owner will love getting off the airplane and going to the parking lot to see his truck in tip top shape, it will be such a burden off his shoulders to come home and go straight to cruising instead of washing,
Make sure you pass on to him how to maintain that great shine.
