Man, I was hoping to see after shots of the car...not reflection shots of the sky and tree's in a mirror!

Awesome work! I can't believe how rough the paint was before you started...never thought it was going to be that bad.

            Top Notch work bro!

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Is it only me? I'm only seeing red X's.

Would love to see the recovery.

                      Nice work Nick!

You did an excellent job of capturing the real world condition of the finish for both the before and the after photos as capturing orange peel and any surface defect for that matter is usually a tough thing to do that requires multiple shots and crossed fingers.

The Viper body isn't as easy to buff out as it looks, the lower valance under the door and where it leads up to the front fender and the air scoops are a challenge to buff out with a rotary buffer.

The back window area and the deck-lid next to the back window have some tight areas and the louvers, like any louvers take a surgeon's touch to run a rotary buffer down each one without burning through the edges.

The paint in the recessed area where the fresh air intake speaker grills are is also tough to do completely by machine.

Just buffing out a Viper is a challenge let alone sanding one down and then buffing out your sanding marks.

Nice work, you've really come a long ways in a short amount of time, a true reflection on your skills, expertise and yes... passion for doing top notch work regardless of how much time it takes.

                      Count em...

                      p.s.

Love the red van with your logo on the rear panel... good contrast of colors for an eye-catching message to brand yourself in your local market.

                        Nick,

The Viper looks fantastic. You really saved the car. The deep red paint is off the charts. The reflection is tremendous. Great work. Way to go.

                              Process was....

                              Wash
tape(yes I tape up some edges before I sand)
                              Wet sand with 1500 grit
                              Wipe the car down
                              Wet sand with 2000 grit
                              Wipe car down
Wet sand the hood, roof and deck lid with 4000 grit.
                              Pull outside and wash again
Start buffing with Solo on a wool pad
M105 on a DA with a yellow pad
And 21 2.0 for the final step

I tried M105 on this car, and it just wasn't working. No matter how little I used or what speed I tried, it gummed up and was a bear to remove. On the flip side, M105 worked amazing on the DA with this car.
