    Thanks again.

The mirka disks I was using are not even like paper at all they are almost like an abrasive cloth on a velcro pad. There is also an interface pad that you put between the sanding medium and the backing plate. I actually got to play with this system at meguairs and it is just the ticket for certain situations. They also have a dry system but I like the wet pads on the da.

Anyone who wants to check it out should seriously consider attending the Meguiar’s NXT Tech Institute

Quick question! I decided to order some of those pads and try them out, what speed did you use on the PC and how many passes? Thanks in advance.

I believe I had it at 3, cant say for sure how many passes since it depends how slow you move the machine and how new the pad is. Be sure the keep the pad wet but not oversaturated. I dipped the pad in a little soapy water before putting it on the machine and then blotted water onto th epad as I went along.

Be sure to use the interface pad between the abralon pads and the backing plate.

                    Lorinser S500

When I first saw the pictures right after the S500 was sanded, my heart skipped a few beats! The final result is perfection! I don't think it is possible for a finish to look any better than that! The before shot looked pretty good.

What is included in the Lorinser package?

You are a braver man then me,

I have always wanted to try sanding down a finish, just to bring it back to life. After seeing you do this to what looked perfect in pictures, I think I will give it a try this winter on a beater.

The lorinser package commonly includes the bodykit, wheels and dual exhaust, but on this car, the wheels appear to be Lowerhart's. Rarely will you see Lorinser under the hood (ie. .001% of the time).

The car looks great btw! So the way you sanded it down has nothing to do with color sanding? Is it the same term? I'm a bit lost there

I usually do my car w/ DACP followed by NXT Tech Wax and finished off w/ Final Detail.

Can you pm me how much you would charge to do what you did to that car to mine? Thanks!

Oh and here's a pic of my ride:

                                Great job on the Benz

just woundering if you tooka paint messerment before you started ,if so what was the end messurement after the sanding and buffing, did you worry about going under the paint reduction set by Mercedes .
Are you familiar with the powder clear coat system that Mercedes and Bmw is using on the new cars.
