  • Have buffer, will travel!!

Word got up to Las Vegas about us to a person that owns a number of exotic vehicles.

This person had been through a number of auto detailers in both California and Nevada and none of them met his expectations.

So last week we arranged to head to Vegas (about 500 miles round trip) to shine some cars.

I will post pictures of all four that we did. Let me start with this Shelby.

It wasn't in very bad condition. It needed a few scratches buffed out with Diamond cut but the majority of the work was good wash and wax.

The rims and bright work got NXT metal polish, tires wear hyper dressing.

Man oh man, that looks great!!!
1 question, why use the NXT metal polish if they have clear coat?
    Why not just use NXT?
    Got Faith?

The outer ring of the rim was not clear coated.

You will want to use it on bare/uncoated metal.

I fired a client this morning who got on my bad side so I guess I have some time to post another of the vehicles that we did.

Here is a new FORD GT.

It was in excellent condition. We washed it, lightly clayed it and coated it in #20.

We wiped the engine down with a damp chamois. Wheels got #20 on rims and hyper dressing on tires.

Interior got a good wipe down and vacuum before being dressed in the appropriate dressings.

The next car we did was an SL55. The owner had performed allot of modifications to boost the performance of this vehicle.

He told me that it was 500 and some horse power stock and he had it up to 700+. The suspension and brakes were up graded as well.

Much attention was put into mechanically but the finish was horrible!

It had swirls galore and many deep scratches.

                  12 HOURS LATER........

It took 12 man hours to get this SL55 looking like an SL55 should look.

We lightly color-sanded some of the really bad areas and buffed the whole car with a 8006/rotary/diamond cut combo.

That was followed with a 8006/G100/DACP combo.

                  9006/G100/#9 followed that.

                  It was topped with #21.

I bet that you really fretted on if/when you were gonna fire that client. I did the first time I had to can a client and I must have gone a week just driving myself nuts.
These days it’s only an overnight [I will sleep on this] decision. I must make sure it’s not the way I do business or something I cannot make the client correct before pulling the plug.
Joe as usual all of the vehicles look just spectacular! You are the man.

Nice reflection! You are good at what you do. Only if I can get that same look on my car's paint.

Thank you for all the kind words but I can’t take all the credit.

Let me take the time to Thank my brother-n-law Juan who is my right hand man.

He came from not knowing a thing about detailing to being an awesome detailer himself in about two years. Detailing this many cars this nicely couldn’t have been done without him. Basically we split the cars down the middle and he polishes half and I the other.

                              MUCHO GRACIAS JUANITO!
