Though every muscle I have aches, I am very pleased with the results! It just goes to show that even a dirty vehicle with the right equipment, and the right products can look better than new!!

Looks great, but what about the pedals (ie accelorator, break, clutch)

I did clean them. Though hard to tell in the pictures, the rubber is very worn and even worn through in a few spots, especially on the brake pedal. Further, I will not put a dressing on them as it could make them slippery.

                    Hi Tim,

Awesome Extreme Makeover and excellent write-up! It's write-ups like this one that instead of just showing pictures, they actually help others to duplicate your success and that's where the benefit of a good write-up is and that's why MOL has become the source on the Internet for accurate how-to information with professional results as the reward.

It looks like you're getting ready to paint this truck by the way you taped it off, not merely clean and polish the paint. Too bad body shops don't do as good as detail work as some of our members.

Excellent makeover. I hate to do the interior, is less rewarding than the exterior paint but you did a wonderful job (I have to get some APC). It really looks like a new truck, not anybody can do that, very professional, and if the interior was like that I don't want to see the engine. congratulations!

There's no way the engine would've been harder to detail than that interior though. I think both int/ext are both rewarding in my opinion, you can't just do one and not the other ya know. If you detail the exterior the inside should be decent (like clean windows, interior qd'ed, vacuumed and no trash anywhere, just a quick routine clean up) But I have to admit, it's not as fun doing the interiors as it is working on the paint but you're happy that you did once you're done.

I have no fun on the interior as I keep my car clean (no eating, drinking, smoking, ...) inside so the only thing that actually gets onto the carpet is whatever comes of from my shoes and my dash only collects dust.

So I just need to vacuum, clean windows and pass over my dash and it's done. So yeah you have to clean your interior if you clean the exterior to get "the full package" but for me it's def. not as rewarding.

Tim, question for you. In this pic:

Is that this (no pic on the site)?

I've always used the stuff from the consumer line, but I have a few tough spots it just cant get out and am thinking of trying this....

I'm not Tim, but I think I can answer your question!

Yes, it's the new Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner D-10219 from the Detailer Line. I think it based on the new APC+ (D-10301) and it's ready to use.

I have the old APC (D-10101) and it's a very famous and multi, multi, multi, multi versatile cleaner too. If you can't get the APC+ the APC would be your first choice!

I used it at most at a dilution 1:10 and it worked awesome. For more cleaning aktion you can dilute it 1:4 (1 part APC, 4 parts water) or stronger.

                              Hope it helps.
