i very much agree. a rule of thumb i've always gone by is if your wax applicator pad is dirty as you're applying wax, you didnt clean and prep well enough beforehand.

That's a good rule of thumb, and it's one I know I have violated in the past.

Does UQW have the same protection as NXT 2.0???

In my experience yes, if not better! I used it on my new G8 without any other LSP and it lasted a minimum of two months, and that was in winter!
UQW is underrated for it's durability IMHO.

I use it every time I wash my truck. I feel like I havent used NXT 2.0 in forever.

Weird, After it rained on my car I noticed ALOT of streaking on my car afterwards. The day before I used the quick wax again without that problem. Bad product/batch?

Are you referring to Quik Wax or Ultimate Quik Wax?

I myself cheat a little and use UQW in a spray and wipe technique like I would use a QD. And occasionally I will get streaking in some areas.

But Im not sure if your doing that or not.

How are you applying the product?

Did it leave any powdery residue, or streaking? I had that problem with the NXT Spray Wax.

So far, I have not had any problems with streaking or powdery residue with UQW.

I have to say, as much as I like meguiar's products. I really hate NXT spray wax.

People suggest to spray it on a foam pad and apply. But If I had to do that, I'd rather just apply some real NXT.

UQW is a god send of a product. It's like Gloss in a bottle, with extreme ease of use and great results.

Since i have UQW i stopped using NXTspraywax.
UQW is so much easier to applie and buff off !
I put it on the paint after every wash and the paint looks simply amazing !
