  • Tried the Ultimate Quick Wax

So, managed to get the car washed and looking good for the few nice days ahead. Course found plenty of tar and water spots to remove in the future.

So after washing I tried the UQW. All I can say is I guess I used it right... I applied with a well moistened Supreme Shine, let it sit while I shined the tires, and then buffed off with an Ultimate Wipe.

There were a couple spots where I must have aplied more heavily, because I could see residue. But on most of the car I could not, so really was just assuming I had applied everywhere (glass, trim, paint), and then assuming I had removed everywhere.

But it sure looks nice and feels smooth... Late in the day pics, not much sun (and wouldnt want my water spots showing anyway...)

Well, after driving to Sheetz to put some air in the tires at night, could kind of see some places I missed buffing I guess. Did a light UQD wipe on those areas, hopefully it all is gone now.

At least one of those areas I think I applied it heavy in.

Does UQW have the same protection as NXT 2.0???

Murr, looks good. I waxed the Neon yesterday and laid it down heavy in a spot or two.....

May have to get some of this UQW, heck I'm behind the times, just got SwirlX and Ultimate Compound.

I unfortunately have to rely on car wash bays to wash my cars from time to time. The other day when I used UQW, the applicator turned somewhat black. So, I know the car wasn't totally clean.

My question is, will this harm the paint? I didn't see any scratches after applying it. It seems as though it actually helped clean the paint!

Applying any type of liquid and rubbing it across the the surface will have some cleaning action.

Perhaps in your case, you really would want to use UQD, or another QD first. Really dont want to drag those dirt particles around, that is where swirls come from.

How many coats of UQW would equal 1 coat of NXT2? Courious minds want to know.

i very much agree. a rule of thumb i've always gone by is if your wax applicator pad is dirty as you're applying wax, you didnt clean and prep well enough beforehand.

I just tried UQW for the first time. You people at Meguiars are freakin' geniuses! I cannot believe how good this stuff is. And it's so easy to apply! What's cool is that as your rubbing the stuff in, you feel the car surface get "slicker" with that waxy feeling.

I cannot believe this stuff. I just cannot believe it. You hit a home run with this for sure.
