Every time I wax it I get a bunch of green paint on the applicator pad. As you can probably guess, she need ALOT of work.
to mol!are you sure it's gone or is that the old singal stage paint coming off?when you do wax or use a cleaner doesn't it shine underneath that old oxidized paint?

I'm pretty sure it's the paint coming off. I can see what appears to either be primer or metal showing through the paint on the hood. It was originally my great grandpa's truck in kansas and then my dad's and now mine, so it's seen it's fair share of abuse. I will be getting it re-painted one of these days when I can afford it. It needs the lower door panels replaced and all of the dents removed first though. So far the quotes are around $3,500 for it all.

It will be some time before I can afford all of that since I go to school still. When I finally get to go through the CHP acadamy that will be my graduating present to myself getting that thing rebuilt.

                    Hi all!
I'm Arnold and have been detailing my cars for about 10 years now. I own a Mitsubishi montero Ltd, Toyota Corolla & M-B C230 kompressor.
I have been a member here for a very long time but never posted anything. I use this forum as a research tool & it always answers my questions in some shape or form. Thanks to all you great guys & Gals who have thought to write down answers to questions & methods to follow. Just coming here to do a searh has saved me a few phone calls. I take my detailing seriously & therefore own a P-C 7424.
                    Thanx again All!
