  • Howdy! I'm new.

Hey every body! I just reacently started getting into detailing with my new Escape. My last car was a white Mustang and you really can't make white very pretty, but my Escape is a nice Dark Metallic Grey so it looks nice when I spend the time to clean it. Well, hopefully I will be taught some good lessons at the Meguires shop on the 23rd.

Here is a pic of my Escape:

And a pic of my Ranchero:

Sweeeeet! Haha! Yeah I did that a couple of weeks ago, she's all nice and clean now. I just hooked up a water filter to the hose in my garage and I will soon be getting a pressure washer when I can afford it. Then ONE day in the future when I feel like hooking one up, I will put a water softner on the house so I can get rid of water spots. (I am anal retentive sometimes)

How far is RSM from Irvine?

If it's not too far, maybe you could bring that Ranchero to one of our Saturday Classes or our Thursday night classes?

I'm like 15 minutes away. But I will not be able to bring it. THe fuel pump is spewing fuel everywhere and the brakes don't stop it anymore. Plus....the paint can't be waxed anymore. Every time I wax it I get a bunch of green paint on the applicator pad. As you can probably guess, she need ALOT of work.

Out there muddin' up the Escape while it's still got the dealer paper plates on it huh? Good for you!!

Is it fair to assume RSM means Rancho Santa Margarita? If so I'm basically just down the street from you, meaning you're a short hop to Meguiar's HQ for the Thursday Night Open Garage Sessions. I highly recommend them.

                Oh, and welcome to MOL!

The day after I bought it I was back in Holy Jim Canyon going through the mud holes! It's suprisingly capable of doing all sorts of off-roading. And yes, it means Rancho Santa Margarita, I just hate typing it out. Where in orange are you located?

Welcome (I am new here too).
Watch out when washing the car if it is that muddy. Mud/sand are the friends of swirls.

The mud, sand, random bushes on the trail...lol! I knew it was going to get scratched up so all well..it's a 4X4 it can handle a few scratches on it. I just tried some pretty nice scratches off but only was able to make them less noticible.

Actually we're in Trabuco Canyon now - Oso Pkwy at the 241.

Hmmmm....I thought my location was listed under my avatar - guess not!

We lost that when we updated to the old forum. At first the new old forum didn't have it but after popular demand it's back just like the old new forum. Ya, that's it.
