    Re: G110v2 Prize Package Giveaway!!!

Just to be that guy....I will nominate myself.

I wouldn't usually do that but that gift pack looks awesome!

    Just kidding guys!!

In all seriousness, Tuck91, J.A. Michaels, Murr1525 all have my vote. They visit so regularly, and are so helpful, is it really necessary to find one quote from them?

I agree they all contribute a great amount to the forum. There is so much great content being posted daily.

One thing I'd like to point out, is that I'm often impressed by some of the occasional visitors and new members posts. Quite often someone is an expert in a certain area. We don't hear a peep from them, then all of a sudden they are posting an in depth 1/2 page post on their area of expertise. Those are the posts that usually blow me away.

It's going to be a tough contest to win (this is a good thing).

        Good luck everyone!!!

Care to nominate a specific post, Bill? Or two or three?

Come on guys, nothing stands out that you want to nominate?

Plenty of folks have offered up great advice here, some great how to stuff, tips, pointers, etc. Our old contest from a couple of years ago drew complaints when someone would join the forum and respond to the random drawing thread and then win the grand prize, even though they contributed absolutely nothing to the forum. This time around we're hoping to reward those who have really helped you, the forum members, and we want you to help us choose the worthy winners.

With that in mind, I would nominate 2 senior MOL members whose product reviews have always helped me to better understand application and procedure.

Tim Lingor for his many excellent product reviews, especially M105 (**New** Meguiar's #105 Ultra Cut Compound Review!!!!) M205 (*NEW* Meguiar's M205 Ultra Finishing Polish Review!!!!) and D151 (*New* Meguiar's D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream Review!!!) (all were particularly helpful)

And Kevin Brown, specifically for his review of the G110v2 in his thread "Area 805 top secret testing begins! " which I have referenced many times in this forum when others have asked for comparative evaluations of DA polishers. Never mind that Kevin's review is comprehensive and very readable, it's also written to industry trade magazine quality review.

                  1 vote for Tuck91.
His "Show off your Lastest Work" threads are second to none. The product links and descriptions are excellent.

There are so many deserving members. But I have to say I really liked this post by Tuck91. I only wish there was more of a challenge for the interior...

I'm pretty sure it's only for the winner.

That being said, I would like to put in my nomination for Nick Chapman's "Many faces of M105" thread.

Mr Chapman took a huge risk and very unorthodox way of getting rid of dirt on a 1962 Maserati.....not quite the run of the mill car that 99% of the folks would probably hesitate at what could go wrong. Nick showed the community that sometimes thinking outside of the box could yield fantastic results. There are many posts like this from Nick, but this one stands out to me!

I would also like to nominate Joe "Superior Shine" Fernandez for his contributions to the Military and medical communities.

There are several others but I think you guy's get the hint. I can tell you from experience the receiving care packages when your 7,000 plus miles away from home, nothing in the world that'll make you feel appreciated and supported. Also being on the medical side you'd be amazed how patients react when you get them inside a nice clean and shiny vehicle, be it an ambulance, helicopter, or airplane.
So a big THANK YOU to Joe for volunteering his time and detailing talent for the good of the cause!

                            I nominate Mike Phillips.

                            Check out post #4...

I could not find the original post by Mike Phillips, so I found this one instead. His piece on #7 was some of the best writing I've seen in a while.

^^ Unfortunately, that's the problem I see with this competition but I didn't want to say anything and risk sounding like a whinger.

The guys that write the best, most informative posts generally have no need for a new polisher, as they probably already have several.

I agree that the previous competition was flawed as well - allowing people to just sign up, win the prize and walk away without contributing any more to the forum. However, I think we need to return to a similar format as before, but this time, only those with a certain number of posts or who have been a member for a certain amount of time should be eligible to win.

The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
