    Hang on a second...

I'll take a photo to show where the cut-out is and also check to see if any other versions of packaging have been made.

When Meguiar's made the decision to introduce a premium quality line of accessories as an alternative to the historically lower quality options available, one of the ideas we implemented was to to design the packaging in such a way that the enthusiast could not only see the product, but touch and feel the product. It was important to us that people would be able to get a good sense for the quality of these new tools.

The Ultra Safe Wheel Brush has a cut-out on the left hand side in which you can feel the bristles as the pictures below demonstrate.

You can even see where we included copy on the packaging that encourages people to inspect for themselves...

I don't know if the packaging in your country is different, I have sent out an e-mail to the Product Manager for this line to find out and when I receive an answer I will post it to this thread.

I noticed on the Car Domain web-page under "bragging rights" that this truck will do 0-60 in 4.8 secs. With 205 h.p..... Not a chance! My real Lightning isn't that quick.....but then I've never pushed it that hard to find out.

Don't think mine could do it either... never really pushed it either.

Just so you know... a stock 2000 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 0-60 mph is actually 9.1 seconds (Source: Truck Trend track testing).

It is discrepancies like these which makes the credibility of this thread questionable.

2hotford... you are correct everything about the post and Car Domain is in question.

My guess right now she is reading this getting a little laugh out of it... These kind of questionable things should be kept out of all message boards but I guess its what happens.

Ok this stuff about me drifting and racing. This was before i got my new rims when i had stock aluminum wheels and tires with little tread, and when I was in high school, which was a year ago. Which you can see on page 1 on my website.I did mess up on the 0 to 60 mph its really around 6 or 7 seconds i just made it less to make it sound good. After I got my new chrome wheels and tires I have been a criuser. I love my truck more. Now I enjoy cleaning and waxing my truck for 5 hours so my truck will shine and not make the wheels look bad. Like some tore up hoopty with nice wheels. when I cleaned my wheels there wasnt alot dirt just regular brake dust from like a three days of riding up the road and back. I didnt go all hard with the brush either. I mostly followed the movie on this site. I spray hot rims, brush slightly, rinse the wheel rinse the brush and moved on to the next wheel. I would damage my new rims that I got on Aug 18 for the hell of it. The brush came in the same package as the picture posted by mike. I cleaned my wheels once every week, Im trying to make these things last. Here are some pictures.

Have you checked your PM's and contacted Tom McDonald about this?

He told me he PM'd you and he is willing to call you and discuss any performance issue with this product.

If used correctly, this brush should not be scratching the chrome on your wheels because the bristles are softer than chrome. If you push to hard on the brush and rub the wire that holds the bristle in place against the chrome then it's possible the wire will scratch the chrome but this is not using the brush correctly and will happen with any company's brush of this design because you're not supposed to rub the wire against the chrome.

If you're not rubbing the wire portion against the chrome, then I'm not sure how the bristles could be instilling scratches.

Check your PM's by clicking on the User CP button at the top of any page in the horizontal green bar. Contact Tom and let him discuss this with you and see if he can come up with a solution. Meguiar's doesn't put out product that when used correctly harm the surface they are intended to be used on.

                      p.s.

I edited your post to show the full size images as you were using the code for the thumbnails.

Just to note: It looks like the face of your wheels would clean up really easy using our Versa-Angle Wheel Face Brush

Do you have a close-up pic of the actual damage? I'm interested to see what exactly this brush did.

                                Jokar,
After reading your latest post, I appologize for my comments. I guess being a car crazy and reading your comments in car domain site, it made me disgusted in how your truck was treated. You know... young and dumb = crazy things we do. Looking back to myself, I did a lot of crazy things as well. Sorry....

Anyways, after seeing the pictures of your brush. It dosen't seem to be in a bad shape or mistreated... I am thinking the obvious...have you left your brush in the ground by any chance while washing your truck? If so, the brush may have picked some dirt and scratching your wheels while cleaning them.
                                Just courious..
                                cheers!
Life is a journey, enjoy the ride!
