  • Bad spray nozzles!!!

This is the fourth bottle of Ultimate Quick Detailer that has developed spray nozzle problems before I am half way through the bottle - 1 of them had a nozzle that didn't work from the first sprsy. Either the nozzles spray a shotgun of large drops while dribbling product on the floor, or a fine mist while dripping on the floor, or just spit a few large drops on the floor and nothing at the car. Eventually they don't work at all. At that point I have to resort to pouring the UQD product directly on a microfiber so I can finish the car!

I use the product once or twice a week on each of my cars, so bottles don't sit around for a long time. An older bottle of NXT Speed Detailer still works fine, as does an even older bottle of Quick Detailer. All these products are stored in the same place.

I love the UQD, but hate the spray head, and am tired of wastoing product on the garage floor or trying to salvage half full, non-functional bottles. What am I doing wrong, or what can I do to work around this problem. I thought of buying a spray bottle and dumping the UQD in the aftermarket bottle, but wondered if the chemical makeup of UQD might be a problem for a different bottle.

Thanks - I had done a search before I posted, but didn't find that thread, or I would have posted there. Really frustrating to get a good product in a poor package.

Agreed. My UQD's bottle trigger just broke on me last week.
How about Meguiar's just fix the darn issue.

It isn't worth our time to go through the customer service goose chase or the DIY modding route. Just put out a good product.

The product is fabulous. It's the sprayers that are the issue.

            I didn't make myself clear.

Put out a good product. And by product, I mean spray nozzle.

I use UQD in every single detail, so obviously I love it .
I'd rather they make make a spray nozzle of equivalent quality as their UQD liquid, than to put out a junk spray nozzle and force us through the customer service route so often because the thing is defective.

I agree, my UQD sprayer nozzle only sprays the bottom half now. It seems like the plastic bends over and covers where the sprayer is.

Pretty annoying when I'm trying to mist.

Detailers clean places nobody see. Detailer see's things nobody else see. But if you ask a Detailer to see how a dress looks on a woman, they are blind.

BTW, I decided to finish my wife's car this morning with the old NXT Speed Cleaner. It worked just fine on the parts of the car that hadn't been cleaned with UQD. But I couldn't remember if I had already done the hood with UQD or not, so re-did it with the NXT. NOT a happy combination - the NXT streaked and took more effort to remove than on the other panels - so much so that I looked at the bottle to make sure I hadn't grabbed NXT Booster wax. I ended up washing the hood and re-applying the NXT - worked fine.
