I went through three units in less than two months, and Meguiar's customer service took car of me immediately, every time. I received my fourth unit from Tom McDonald, and this bad boy has been going strong ever since. Tom explained that they had some initial issues with some of the units during early production. He also stated that Meg's was doing everything in their power to make things right. So hang in there, I'm sure you'll be compensated soon enough.

I feel your pain. 2 Bad units. But at least you have Meguiars standing behind the unit. A company that really cares about there customers. I also have to agree you do not hear about the thousands of units working just fine.

Here is a P/C that has 20+ years and only brushes, cord 2x and 1 switch. when you replace brushes you need to seat them or you can burn your comm.

that's a nice looking tool. do you have a model number for that?

Porter Cable M/N 305 type 2 7 " polisher. I bought it from Grainger's a world wide industrial supplier. The nice feature of this unit is that it is a helical drive and not a right angle worm. That gives you a much higher efficiency power in to power out.

Thank you, Mike. No problem here so far. Hopefully, after things work out, Meguiar's will offer life time warranty again. I missed my G100.
