I read through your complete thread. I am by no means an expert but have something to add. I would dry the vehicle using a MF drying towel, to cut down on the swirl marks. I would then give the car an even DA application of Ultimate Polish as it is less aggressive than Ultimate Compound, Swirl X or Color X. Then, top it off with two thin coats of Ultimate Wax.

You may have to live with the minor swirl marks and concentrtate on keeping it at it's current condition.

    Good Luck,
    James

I read the whole thread, and didn't see this mentioned in drying techniques. I love the idea of 'touching' my paint as little as possible. I've been told plenty of times that every single time you touch your paint, you risk scratching/damaging it in some way. Even using the most plush and gentle of products.

I currently remove the nozzle from my hose once I'm done washing, and just let the water run down the on the panels until most of the small pools and beads of water have all been sheeted off. I think someone mentioned this already, but just to emphasize it.

Also..some people talk about using a leaf blower to dry. I've yet to try this, but it sounds excellent. If you have access to one, you might try it out!

Unless you use a good DA orbital buffer it is really difficult to remove the "spiderweb" effects seen in the paint. I would try to get a DA buffer and use the Ultimate Compound followed up with the Ultimate Polish and then the NXT Wax. You will be truly amazed at the results.
