      I prefer the foam ones for UC, polish, waxing the paint.
      The Even coat MF pads are great for UQW

      The foam ones are cheap at ADS, 12 for $10

        I've been using MF pads because thats all I have on hand right now but I can see that when they gum up they start to have a bit of texture to them, unlike foam pads which don't really gum up, so I would say foam is probably better for wax or compounding.

          I use the foam for everything on the exterior (I think I have about 20 of them by now, hah) and I use the microfiber applicators when using interior products like leather cleaner and conditioner.

            I like the MF pads for applying Ultimate Protectant on the vinyl exterior parts and the interior areas like dash and doors.
