  • Using instant glue instead of clear

You can repair the scar of the paint or lampshade by instant glue!
It's more convenient than the clear!!!

    For example:
    ===================================================
The switch of the original is with white fogged characters and heavy plastic smell...

Rub it to be a little bit fogged

    use spray gun

    prepare watercolor

    prepare gas mask

After polishing and modified averagely with cotton

Applying the instant glue to the switch as averagely as possible with sharp kneaded paper

Try hard to scribble a bit more evenly, otherwise it is very difficult to rub after a moment, this fails a bit ...

Rub flat slowly with 2000# sandpaper , polish and check it over

Rub again and again to your satisfaction.
mend a little more glue to the sunken place, did not need to rub to hard…
this was the second time that I had done.
to rub sunken place to be flat, the red words became white again, come over those steps for one more time. Damn it !!

How to polish it into the surface of the mirror?
It is enough to use polishing compound of M83

    500RPM

    OK~

Finally, put the metal lid back to the switch.

That's some serious dedication there Orion. Man, what a project for a fine detail...if only I shared your motivation!

    Solid work!

great job. What attention to detail. You stated that this is the second time you have done this. How long will this last?

I think he was referring to how long the glue will stand up to daily use before you will have to re-do the project
