  • Orbital & Rotary

I have an old WEN Orbital thats been barely used and I plan on bringing it out of hibernation. I can't find many articles about using an Orbital.

Are the principles behind using a Rotary the same as when using an Orbital?

    Here is some great reading

Rotary vs DA Polisher vs Traditional Orbital Buffer

      Oh ok,

Orbitals are good for applying waxes and polishes, but not for doing intensive paint correction, right?

That is a great way to look at it.

Paint correction should be left to D/A Polishers, or even rotary buffers in some cases. It all depends on how much correction you need to do and your ability.

              Hey 240sx

Mike's right but I've had some good luck using a 10'' orbital with a foam bonnet and some scratchx or another type cleaner with some soft clear's and single stage paint's.

Give it a try, grab you some tape and do a test spot. YOU NEVER KNOW UNTIL YOU TRY!
