Alright thanks guys for the clarification.

Keith, based off of what one of the Techs said about how the pressure is distributed with the GG6 backing plate vs the Meguiars backing plate, I think I will just go with the Meguiars one as it isn't too much money. I just want to make sure everything with the polish unit is as close to perfect as possible so that it's one less thing I have to worry about when going to use it for the first time, lol.

EDIT: Just double checking, the S3BP is a *3 inch* backing plate that will work with the 4 inch pads, correct?

I'm going buy a W68DA backing plate & megs soft buff pads to use with my GG6....just couldn't pass up a deal at Griot's Garage

I just bought a Griots polisher as well, 15% off and free shipping was too good of a deal to pass up. I did want to support Meguiars and buy a G110v2, but it's not in stock anywhere and considerably more expensive.
