Lets just hope I get my backing plate =X since you have 2 people trying to resolve yours already haha luuuucky.

Hopefully the secretary up front actually delivers my invoice and letter and actual backing plate all in once piece to costumer service *crosses fingers*

Update:

I had been in contact with some people in meguiars costumer service. They were extremely helpful and asking me questions about the product and my problem so that they could figure out what my problem could have been. The person I talked to was extremely helpful and answered all my questions and also was very detailed in asking questions about the problem itself which he said would help them improve or fix any problems with their product, and that if I had anymore problems to call them back right away.

All I can say is that Meguiars costumer service came through for me and I got a new plate extremely fast at my door step.

I Just attached the new backing plate sent to me and here are the video results



As you can see instantly if you compare with the old video that the wobble GREATLY reduced to the point of it being non existent. There is a VERY VERY SLIGHT wobble but from what I've read even people with non meguiars have a very SLIGHT wobble that non one ever noticed ever until they actually looked at their DA in detail after I posted this video. (it was kinda difficult to keep the camera still so that may influence how it looks sorry no tripod here, and lighting isn't great)

At least I know now that the backing plate provided originally was the problem, and had a pretty bad defect or could have gotten warped some how. Im sure that this slight to very non existent wobble will be not problem at all while the device is in use. Hopefully someone from meguiars can chime in on this and let me know their opinion about how it looks now. Im very satisfied with how the backing plate spins now, hopefully Meguiars is able to use this info to further improve their product, and I'd gladly buy another product from them after experiencing their costumer service

Good result!

I'm sure that slight wobble is nothing to worry about. It will even out as soon as you put pressure on it while you're using it. They're probably all like that (never bothered to look that closely at mine).

Yea I agree with you, and Im sure meguiars and the people I spoke to will use the info on the future backing plates.

Im just glad it was settled so fast on their part as far as getting me the new plate and messaging me and talking to on the phone.

Hopefully the other member here who had the same problem I had was able to get his resolved also.

All thats left is to get some pads and hopefully sign up for a Sat detailing class to get some pointers on how to use this DA polisher correctly.
