I think im gonna get the v2 DA from meguiars (when it comes out).....can i get pads from anywhere? local auto paint shop? they sell alot of 3m....are pads (if there the same size) universal????

Yes, you can use any 6.5" and up size pad with the new DA (any DA for that matter).
ColinA common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Or you can always change the backing plate, which you'd need to buy, to fit the 5.5" or 4" pads as well.-KyleComment

so if I get a PC 7424 and it comes with a Lake Country backing plate I can use Meguire 2.0 pads no problem then?Comment

Yes. Just match pad size with backing plate size. It seems like a norm that the pad is half an inch bigger than the pad, for safety measures.-KyleComment

Just so you know, the W68DA backing plate that comes with the G110v2 is probably going to be too large if you plan on using Lake Country pads. I agree 100% with Michael on getting the 2.0 pads with your machine. These pads are easily cleaned by tossing them in the washer/dryer. I'm not sure about other brands being able to go through the washer/dryer?BarryComment
