  • G-100 Having Bad Results Help!!!

Well I wouldnt say BAD but they are definately not as good as everyone is making it out to be. I have been using it for about a year now and since the weather is clearing up here in Wisconsin I figure I should ask for ideas before cleaning up my cars etc...

I have been using #83 first #80 then NXT wax with separate w8006 pads. No matter how fast or slow I go or how much or how little product I use I cant seem to get "perfect" results on my cars. I have done a lot of reading and research before investing in the above products so I know more than the average "newbie". If anyone can give me some suggestions or a good thread to read for people in my possition that would be very helpful.

As for the results I am getting; the paint before is always swirled up and I am basically most concerned about the swirls. After using 83 and 80 I do still see swirls in direct light. They are far less noticable but still there so what else would you guys reccomend for me to use? Maybe I will have to step up to a rotary instead? The paint definately seems to be alot brighter, smoother, and a little less swirl marks but what is left of the swirls is what I am most concerned about after investing several hours into a detail I want it to be "perfect" or close to it. Thanks in advance for any responses.

You might need to head into rotary land.

I'm guessing it's a problem with technique since it's several cars you are having that problem with.

I'm far from an expert, but my situation is very similar to yours - I did lots of research and reading, bought the products, then became slightly discouraged when I didn't get the results I expected. With some tweaking of my technique I found that I could get the results I wanted. Here's my thread:

Lots of good tips in there that really helped me out. In my case, I had to put a black mark on the top of the pad so I could see if the pad was spinning or not. I was pushing too hard and the pad wasn't spinning. Also I was covering too large of an area with M83 and was trying to work it for too long. Cleaning the pad on the fly between each application of product really helped too. Good luck
