There are some great MF glass towels sold by Beaver Stripes in Phoenix, AZ they are sky blue color. I use them for tint and detailing

Re: This is driving me insane!!!! Streaks/Haze on glass
I've had this problem over and over again with all kinds of products over the years. The only thing that seems to work is the homeless guy with newspaper at the intersection!
No...haha...in all seriousness, I just had this problem again after cleaning off some overspray with acetone. What worked like magic was pure Ammonia! Give it a try!

The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Hmm...been using it on tinted windows for a long time...as well as original Windex, which has a high ammonia content, without any issues.
Current type of Windex has no ammonia at all.

My process is to spray a couple shots D120 on a fine-nap microfiber towel and wipe down half the windshield. I follow with another dry MF towel. I refold the towel and do the other half. I dedicate my MF toweling to window cleaning only and wash the towels by hand and rinse repeatedly to be sure all traces of the detergent is removed.
Streaking could be caused by any remaining detergent, or other product, in the towels so be sure to be impeccable about cleaning them. The glass itself may be fogged with oils or vapors from the leather/vinyl or products used on the interior. It may be a good idea to perform multiple cleanings with multiple towels to be sure to get the glass really clean.
You can use horizontal strokes on the exterior and vertical on the interior to see which side of the glass is causing the streaking problem.
You can also use UQW (D156) on the glass to make stubborn glass easier to clean streak free.Jim

Re: This is driving me insane!!!! Streaks/Haze on glass
Didn't read all the posts, but there is such a simple solution to cleaning the inside windows. . DON'T use any window cleaner in your vehicle. This doesn't apply to smokers..not sure if it applies. For the rest of us...do not use any commercial window cleaner...Invisible Glass is the worst... Like other commercial glass gleaners they have chemicals to make the the job "seem" easier. When it all drys, the water evaporates, the chemicals are left to attract more film. Like a drug dealer. We need an easier way to remove to remove the buildup, without adding the "drug dealer"
I do my windshields once a year..4 cars ..only because I get bored. (Anal detailer) Take a microfiber....damp with warm water....rub over half the windshield (driver or passenger side) and then buff it heartily with a real soft microfiber and then a buff with another microfiber. Then do the other side. My windows are sparkling clean for for a year...unless I get bored.
REMEMBER..everyone want to sells you something, and in most cases, it is snake oil.

I agree, Blueline. You can get squeaky clean windows using dedicated products and techniques, but they will be foggy or dirty again very fast. So, you do it again and again and start freaking every time you see a smudge, etc. That's what I was getting at regarding the QD/QW above. Out of frustration I just started wiping glass occasionally using the same rags I use for QD or QW. It really seems to work.Non-Garaged Daily Driver, DAMF System + M101, Carnauba Finish Enthusiast
