  • If it's really dusty..

If the interior is really dusty, like the dashboard.. if it's got tons of **** on it do you wipe it down first with a clean MF to knock off most of the loose stuff or do you immediately use a product like APC sprayed onto a MF?

I would use APC or QID, whichever was needed, sprayed on a MF towel. Then dress with whichever dressing was wanted.

MF towels are the best, you might have to use a couple of them. Just spray a little APC on the towel they are designed to work damp not wet.

I always used my vac and put the brush attachment on to get as much dust/dirt as possible.

Sometimes use compressed air along with the vac around edges and hard to reach places before applying a protectant with my micro-fiber.

Same here. I use the brush because I don't want all of that dust sticking to my MF towels.

I dont get it? The towels can be washed, and no dust is blown around?

Just the way I do it, use my vac on the carpet and cloth seats so when I'm done I grab the brush and go ahead and get the dash with it so then after that I can apply the #40 and wipe over the dash and the rest of the interior, then clean the windows. Thats my routine.

The way I look at it is, I wouldn't just spray the #40 over a bunch of dust/grim on my dash (like Lelandgray posted about asking what we do? When it's really dusty and has tons of **** on it)or any other and then use a micro-fiber to rub it in or around the surface, to me it just doesn't make sense so thats just my way of doing things!

I like to use the MF towel dry on the dash first - whether it's very dirty or just for maintenance. It helps to get the dust to stick to the MF towel before getting the dash wet with any product. When I wash them in the washing machine, they come out good as new!

I always use my vac and brush attachment. You can actually mist Interior Quik Detailer onto the dash and on the console's buttons and then vac the **** out with the brush.

                          Works awesome and saves towels.
