I have used this exact technique w. Meg's APC on the high traffic (stairwell, hallway) carpeted areas in my home. The carpet looks great, the clean areas blend perfectly with the rest the carpet.
Don't know if it's my god-like expertise
but I suspect it's the power of using minimal water so the deeper stains aren't lifted. Did it a month ago, still looks great.
Success is never final, failure is never fatal. It's courage that counts.
