I have used this exact technique w. Meg's APC on the high traffic (stairwell, hallway) carpeted areas in my home. The carpet looks great, the clean areas blend perfectly with the rest the carpet.

Don't know if it's my god-like expertise but I suspect it's the power of using minimal water so the deeper stains aren't lifted. Did it a month ago, still looks great.

yes, APC+ produces less foam, still will work fine

ok, does APC = All purpose cleaner of any brand?

In this instance they are talking specifically about Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner.

It does look like there was some discoloring in those green mats though from before and after.

They are actual gray but this vehicle was used to go to the dirt track races every weekend for the past 3 years and never saw a vacuum or a wash unless it rained until I got it. Major neglect.

The blend of fabric softeners and optical brighteners really make a difference in the feel over other cleaners I have used over the years.
