Absolutely Horrible.

That sounds horrible...don't know if I would want to take that one on.

btw...here is an after shot. I couldn't get a good shot of the seat bottom because of where the sun was, but this headrest was just as bad and the rest of the seat came out looking this good.

I would like to know what everyone uses, or if Scotchguard is the best, so that this doesn't happen again...

Is this a Chevy Cobalt (could also be a Malibu)? If not, looks like the seats in my car. Probably the WORST materials ever used in a car IMO. I own one, and dig the car, just wish it had better interior material. This is the reason that there is no eating or drinking in my car. Also, I have towels on the floor because the carpet stains easily and doesn't clean up well.

Golden, good eye on the kind of car. It is a Malibu. And not PROBABLY but DEFINITELY the WORST materials ever used in a car. A key reason to why I am shopping for a different car. I can get in my car after exercising and if I am a little sweaty it leaves stains on the seats.

I first used it the other day - I'm thinking I may have used *too* much..

I used the whole can of Scotchgard AUTO on the seats of my 2008 Hyundai Sonata.

I've spent countless hours trying to clean Malibu seats. I can't find anything to get them spotless. The new Malibu's are nice. Also, the Impala with the dark cloth is GREAT. I would check those out. All it takes is a vacuum and they look like new.

Really? My dad has an '98 Malibu and I cleaned the seats with some APC and my steamer. I think Folex might work as well.

It's the 05-07 malibu as pictured above. For some reason GM really went cheap on these. GM had some good fabric in the 90s I though.

Actually, it's the 04-07, since the pic is from an 04. I can get the stains out using APC and my LGM...I just can't keep the stains out. All I have to do is think about the seats getting water on them and they stain.

btw...the Cobalt, HHR, and Equinox (don't know exact years) all use the same cloth. Nice to know if you are shopping so you can avoid them.

My fault, I meant 04 in there. Yeah they all use the same material. I knew about it before I bought my Cobalt, but I did anyway. So far so good. I just keep food and drinks out of the car.
