    No, it really is wood. But it is wood with a protective coating. I'm not sure how think it is or what it's made of though. I've called a few people at BMWNA , and I'm hoping to hear back from them tomorrow.

    The issue is that this is a 2 month old car. I wouldn't be so upset if I had been abusing it for the last few years. But two months?!?! Come on!

          Your "wood" has been clear coated...Get ScratchX 2.0 or swirlX, will make it look like new.
