OK, this is a new one for me. I have burled walnut trim on the inside of my new 3 Series. I just noticed today that there are nasty looking swirl marks all over the wood! I've never encountered this before. What do you guys recommend for removing it?

Re: Swirled Wood???
do you know if it's wood that has a clear coating on it or not?
I imagine you can treat like paint but hopefully others chime in.
Best step is to find out what is on the wood (coating wise if coated....)Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without grumbling or questioning,

Re: Swirled Wood???
It's a resin.
Not plastic or paint
Mike & Mike told me in another thread, there's nothing you can do with resin, except re-resin it/by new part.

Swirls are a different type of problem and if the coating is polishable and thick enough to work on you can usually fix it.
Mario, can you bring this car by one of our Thursday Night "Open Garage" events so we can see it first hand?
Thanks!

Contact BMW and find out what this coating is made out of? Is it a type of clear paint like on the outside of the car or some kind of plastic coating?
Find out what it is you're working on and this will guide your decision to which products to use to remove the swirls.
Then, update this thread and it will become a useful reference for any BMW owners that have this same problem into the future.

M105 works great on everything.
Just do a test spot first.
