      Just to chime in...

New Car Smell is is the toxic outgassing of all the residual nasty substances used to manufacture all the components used to make a new car. It's actually a bad thing...

This post put me on the hunt for #40 as I was looking for something that will clean and protect vinyl on the interior (been using 309 but it is not for cleaning). Found it at Car Quest, pricey stuff. Went to Wally World and got some Gold Class car wash, first time buyer. Man does this stuff smell goooooood! The #40 works great and smells faintly like new leather but not overly strong. The Gold Class also proved to be a winner. Did I mention that this stuff smells gooooooood! After the interior and the wash followed the clay and then onto NXT 2.0. Did you know that this stuff smells good too? Now I know why I am becoming obsessed with detailing. Not only does everything look fantastic when finished but it smells good too.

Is there something wrong with this picture?

No fast food. Food in general (leftovers from a restaurant) just plain stinks when it gets in a car. Fast food stinks the worst though. Not good for you either.

ugh, my best friend left mexican in the back of my old truck on a rather warm day, it smelled terrible, if she wasnt so awesome, i mighta been a little ticked. It took a while to get it out. A combo of febreze and oust did the trick

Audi has an own lab that work on reducing smells in new cars.
I still think the brand new Audis smell very strange.

BMW has a strange smell, can´t make out whether I like it or not...
All cars smell different, but leather seats often help a lot!

A friend of mine got a new Impala as a company car and when I rode with him I was just about getting sick from it. While you could smell the newness in the cloth and such, it was the chemicals and other stuck that nearly gave me a headache. It's kind of like the extra sealant a "Zebart" type company provides with their rustproofing.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Natural Shine in this thread. Its fresh and crisp smell keeps my interior smelling (and looking) wonderful.

Anyhow I was wondering what parts i could put on it to make it faster or whatever... Some freinds were talking about new pipes, or cold air intake.
