Magic Foam Eraser is Amazing on Scuffs!!

I just ordered a couple of these from ADS and tried it out...spent part of the day touching up my 95 Caddy (pics in "show off" section).

Whatever they are made of, it's unbelievably amazing. I just put a little water on it - no APC - and it removed all kinds of scuffs on kick panels and dirt on the leather with almost no effort. This is the answer to one of the earlier posts about removing scuffs!

On the exterior, it removed bugs, tar, etc. as easy or easier than anything I've ever used.

At first I thought it was a joke, especially after I got it and saw it. Thought I'd buy it and try it out anyway. Not much to lose - $2. I will definitely be ordering more and making good use of it on details!

Back to the eraser, I used one and then ended up buying 4 boxes of them...they are great to remove wax on plastic trim too...

Johnathan, all those are are ADS' version of Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. You can buy them just about anywhere locally and save yourself shipping and waiting. I always have some on hand and they certainly are MAGIC!!! I love them.

I just want to say up front that I don't have any experience with using Magic Erasers. I thought of buying them before, but some of my friends were saying it contains chemicals that would be bad for your vinyl or whatever it was used on. They were saying it might take the color off your dash if you used it. Can anyone comment on this from their experience? I'm assuming it's safe since everyone seems to be using it, but I just want to make sure I don't jump into something too quickly. Thanks!!

Ok, so I decided to get some Magic Erasers and try them for removing scuff marks because trying it for yourself is much more fun than discussing it on the forum, lol. I no longer have any concerns about Magic Erasers removing color from the vinyl/plastic on the interior of cars. I tried it on the black interior of my mom's 06 Malibu and it's still black (and scuff free!!). I am now convinced...Magic Erasers ARE amazing against scuffs!!

I would be VERY careful about using these on your paint! They will scratch, the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers even warn against this. Other than that I use them on wheels, engines, leather, vinyl, and especially on glass.

Ive been using Magic Erasers on vehicle interiors since they came out. I use them on everything, all plastics, vinyls, leathers and even glass. Its never hurt a thing. I used to buy an off brand that was WAY cheaper than the name brand but now i cant find them anywhere. I have a feeling Mr Clean sued lol

They didn't sue anyone, the Magic Eraser was invented in a BASF lab in Germany and is now made in various places, even upstate NY! Mr. Clean simply buys from BASF and puts their name on it.

Those are one of my favorite car washing tools. They are great on wheels too- they get caked on brake dust off your wheels and make your wheels look new, but they dont harm your wheels like those acids that do the same thing. THey also work well for getting the dirt out of the seats and the covers from convertible tops that get very dirty if you drive around with the top down 90% of the year (in socal).

i got a case of them for under $20 at some random dollar store. I think they all work about the same. I tested them against the Mr.Clean one on a wall.

I wonder if they would work even better if used in conjunction with QID, but I would be afraid of mixing chemicals.

Actually, the pads don't have any chemicals in them. They work like a very high grit sand paper. If you have a dry one, you can actually see the little abrasive parcticles fly off if you squeeze it.
