These things work great on many things...one thing for sure, we have walls that were faux painted with pearl paint and when using one of these things, the faux paint came right off...user beware...

My wife was way ahead of me on this product. She's used them for years and has always cautioned that you don't rub hard. Use light pressure, take a little time and be amazed.

I'd like to hear more experiences about using them for bugs on the paint. I was intriqued and planned to try the wetted dryer sheets for that. Either way, my guess is they are both easier on the paint--well protected paint-- than the typical bug & tar removers I've used, prior to getting with the program here.

I'm not wild about the idea of using them on paint without hearing more from you expert practitioners. If they, and the wetted dryer sheets, work as well on bugs as I've read, then it must be easier on the paint than typical bug & tar removers I've used in the past -- prior to getting with the program here.

I bought a 2 pack at Dollar General yesterday for $1.50. The brand is Coralite Ultimate Sponge and the package says "compare to Mr. Clean Magic Eraser"
It has a wheel and tire on the package and doesn't say anything about interior type of cleaning. Do you think this is the same thing?

Well you can only use it when its wet right? Shouldnt be much harm. Kinda like wet-sanding your interior lol.

Actually, the pads don't have any chemicals in them. They work like a very high grit sand paper. If you have a dry one, you can actually see the little abrasive parcticles fly off if you squeeze it.

Those are one of my favorite car washing tools. They are great on wheels too- they get caked on brake dust off your wheels and make your wheels look new, but they dont harm your wheels like those acids that do the same thing. THey also work well for getting the dirt out of the seats and the covers from convertible tops that get very dirty if you drive around with the top down 90% of the year (in socal).

They didn't sue anyone, the Magic Eraser was invented in a BASF lab in Germany and is now made in various places, even upstate NY! Mr. Clean simply buys from BASF and puts their name on it.

Ive been using Magic Erasers on vehicle interiors since they came out. I use them on everything, all plastics, vinyls, leathers and even glass. Its never hurt a thing. I used to buy an off brand that was WAY cheaper than the name brand but now i cant find them anywhere. I have a feeling Mr Clean sued lol

Here is an example of my car interior.

Greatest part is there is no need for chemicals.

[QUOTE=audioguy99;167712]...On the exterior, it removed bugs, tar, etc. as easy or easier than anything I've ever used.../QUOTE]

I would be VERY careful about using these on your paint! They will scratch, the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers even warn against this. Other than that I use them on wheels, engines, leather, vinyl, and especially on glass.
