    I have a Husky 20 gallon 155 psi compressor. It puts out 4.3 cfms at 90 psi. Does anyone know or has used this compressor for the pro headlight kit? I've used the kit with electric tools and it works great, but i might want to try the pneumatic tools if this compressor will do the job. Any advise please?

      * 3 cfm
      * 60 - 90 psi
      * 30 gallon tank

      That's the recommended minimum spec for a compressor. It sounds like you've got the power but maybe not the air volume for longer buffing sessions.

          Can you or has anyone used the 3" sanding discs with the DA? Sorry if it's been addressed in the other pages but I'm to lazy to look LOL.

          * I know it's not recommended by Megs, but wasn't sure if you can still achieve good results*

            After extensive long term testing on restorations that I have done and continuous polishing, ultimately this process will fail again. An application of a UV clear coat and curing the lens with a UV light is the solution. This special UV headlight coating is a bit costly as is the light. But the big advantage is no polishing is required and the long term protection is there.

            Here is a little slide show I did demonstrating how I do my headlight lens restoral......This 2005 Porsche 996 Carrera was originally an East Coast vehicle that is now in Cali. It displayed the typical yellowing around the lights and they were just an eyesore to my client. Every time he walked up to the vehicle he was annoyed with the appearance of the lenses. When were were finished after about 1 hour he was amazed at the difference.....Having the curing lamp accelerated the time required for the UV coating to cure, and the results were awesome.

              Michael,

              The 3 cfm you are quoting above must be the average CFM. If so this is saying that the air tools require 3 cfm for 15 seconds of use. If you hold down the trigger for 1 minute, you have used 12 cfm.

              This is why you are correct that 30 gallons of air storage should be the min required.
