Window Cleaning

It's where the window and the dashboard meet as well as the back window and the shelf that really get me. I also ran into a problem yesterday with #40 staining the windows and I had to take autoglym polish to get it off so be careful.

I now order the MF mitts from excel detail and use those to apply interior product.

There is a gadget sold by Griot's Garage that enbles you to reacu the windows down low near the dash and rear hatch/deck. It is triangular shaped. Now the same gadget can be bought from several catalogs for around $9.99. It uses triangular shaped MF bonnets.

BTW, I just tried the NXT Glass Cleaner and it works great. I go through a lot of this year round so I hope it will be easy to find locally.

Lately I've been using the two towel method with surgical towels. You spray on product(your glass cleaner), use one towel to clean and agitate, and it usually soaks up most of the product, and use a second towel to "burnish" the glass. Works great, also this must be done in the shade on cool glass as hot glass makes most glass cleaners evaporate and streak.

hey car crazzy nuts try out invisible glass by stoner 4.00 a can or 3m ckass cleaner you can only get it @ gm car dealerships that might help till nxt is on the market should be goood stuff from what i hear !!!!!

Ah, the Glass Wizard, I did get one and I was rather impressed with the results. Indeed, it does a better than average job even when using a simple isopropyl alcohol/water mix. ( I wouldn't use in direct sunlight) Following with a quality glass mf like the Norwex brand worked well for me.

So do you reccomend news paper or not? I just use seperate MF towels that only get used on windows, but i have tons of USA todays

Newspaper is the only thing that works for me as a final wipe when removing salt spray. We are a little behind the rest of the country here in central Indiana , so maybe our newspapers still have abrasive in the black ink. I don't get a lot of newsprint on my hands either.

I tried one of the original Ultimate Wipes but it didn't work very well at all as a final wipe. A regular car wash works best but unfortunately I can't wash my car every day LOL!

I am anxious to try the new Glass Duo Fiber Super Towel.
