RUN AND NEVER LOOK BACK !!!!
Seriously, stiff brush ?...I've never used one but I would recommend that a mitt is the way to go...microfibre or lambswool perferablly.....Bill Poirier

Re: brush or mit?
Another thing with these brushes that I have witnessed is even if they are soft, watch a detailer that uses them long enough and you will see a few slips.
Plastic or not hitting the body is not something I want to happen.

Re: brush or mit?
Anything touching paint should either be a foam applicator pad for applying wax or Microfiber! Though 100% cotton and terry are okay, I don't use 'em.
Brush!? For the wheels only.
Think about the actual technology of microfiber. It's removing the dirt and trapping it so it doesn't come in contact with the paint again. (which is why your not supposed to apply a lot of pressure when washing and drying)
Can a brush do that? Even if the brush itself is SOFT, it still has no way of keeping the dirt from going back into the paint and causing the micro-scratches.Wiseguys Auto Detailing

Re: brush or mit?
i use ultra plush microfiber mits and if i need the convenience of a brush for high areas i got one of these at walmart which is exactly what OmeGa101 described but you dont have to be creative the pad on the end is microfiber and it can extend to your desired length.
