Which glass of water would you buy to drink, $1 or the $5 ??

Your thirsty, on a table in front of you are two glasses full of water. One is for sale for $1.00 the other is 5 times more, for $5.00.

The glasses look the same as does the water in it. The glasses look clean. There isn't an odor. Standing around you are people drinking water from the same type of glasses. You can't tell who bought the $1 or the $5 glass.

Have you already decided which you will buy?

If not what else do you need to know about the two glasses of water to help you choose one over the other?

I'm not sure how you intend to approach this question and for what purpose this question was intended, but would you get to "taste test" a little of each before you bought it? Some people can taste good water, and it has a crisp taste, clean finish a little on the sweet side, no aftertaste or heavy residue left behind, it also awakens your palate. $5 glass is like Voss, while $1 would be something like municipal water. In some places, they have really good tasting municipal water, seriously.

I posted this question on four other sites as well.


Allot of people said water is water and the $1.00 Glass would do the trick. Some will go thirsty until he can get home and drink his own water.

A few would have purchased the higher priced water just because it was higher priced.

Yet another group (the smallest) wanted to know more about the water. Where did it come from, is it just water, etc….

I liked MaxImage train of thought.

Now lets say glass one is room temp tap water and your $1 gets you that water only with no re-fills. It is perfectly safe to drink but has the regular tap water rusty taste to it.


Glass #2 is cool ultra pure spring water, it tastes great and you can get it with a twist of lemon if you want it, you can have it re-filled up to six times no charge. There is a shaded area with a chair where you can kick back and drink the water if you like. The water is brought to you while you sit.


Next question:

There are two mobile auto detailers, one charges $99 the other $250..........................

If it's a hot day and I am really thirsty, I think I would get the 5$ glass, since I can have refills, it's brought to me and so on. Good service costs money, I know that from our business, and many are willing to pay for it.

Well i would have to say I would not pay for it as our water if FREE ,CLEAN and PURE down here in New Zealand

$5 glass, the service is worth the dough. Plus water with lemon is WAY more pleasurable to drink than plain water.

And thats what its all about, what will you enjoy more when its all said and done.

You know the saying.....

the bitter taste of a broken item lasts much longer than the sweetness of the cheap price........or something like that

and

you buy cheap you buy twice

and

you get what you pay for
