  • need help with removing swirls with the products i have

    hi guys,
been out of the detailing hobby for a couple of months...

i have a gun metal car that i will need to detail after months of neglect...

it has come up with a heap of scratches, and spider webbing
the same as seen in this pic:

now all i have in my garage is meguairs polishing pad, scratchx and swirl remover 2.0...
the rest of the range includes NXT wax, carnuaba wax, paint cleanr and polish.

will this be sufficient enough to remove some of the spider webbing?

problem is around wehre i am, there aint much of a range with meguairs professional line...
i have seen medium cut and fine cut product on teh shelf, but that store is 20 minutes away...
i also cant get my hands on a cutting pad, so ill have to do with the polishing pad.

any tips would be greatly appreciated
    thanks

When you say "Meguiar's polishing pad", it makes me think you have a machine to use. What kind?
See the big picture, enjoy the details

Go with M83 or ScratchX by machine, ScratchX by hand only.

Do not use either the #1 or the #2 with your orbital polisher on a clear coat.

Yes -->if<-- the tool you're using has at least as much power as the G100/PC

If it has less power than they will still work, but it may take longer. The idea is to work the diminishing abrasives into and against the finish to force them to take out little bites of paint, as you do this they break down and stop working thus they polish-out.

The less effective your tool, the less effective the product.

                Pretty simple really.
