I always wanted to try to top NXT like people here do. I finally got some spare time and I worked on my black 2004 Mustang GT. I washed, clayed, #80, NXT x2 with the PC. This morning I decided to be a little creative on what looks good in my eyes. I did a 2'x2' section on the hood with #21, Gold Class, and #26. I was quite suprised that with the amount of polish in #80 that when I applied Gold Class in the 2'x2' section I had darker gloss in the area. I seemed to like the NXT with Gold Class as a topper on black. #21 would be by second choice and #26 I was not really impressed with.
My 2005 Black Chevy Z71 looks great using the same formula above but seems to give more gloss with topped #21 then with Gold Class.
Questions:
1) Are the types of polishes Meguiars offer contain more or are the oils different in each polish???
2) Do different types of paints react different to the polishing oils?
Thanks,
Nick
