Help removing STUBBORN bugs?

I have to say, I'm a little scared of using a sanding block on my baby. Is this going to hurt the clearcoat at all? I know the description says you can polish it after words, but I would feel MUCH better after hearing your OK Mike.

Since you've already removed any wax...have you tried alcohol or a little gasoline? I've had success removing dried pine tar with these. I've also used a rag dipped in'hot' water and let it sit on the spot for several seconds to soften it up. Good luck.

That stain almost looks like brake fluid. If so, that is very bad news. The stain would then be in and on the paint, and not much you can do about it. If it were my car I would not have that repainted unless you know a really good painter! In most cases, factory paint is best. The stains don't look bad enough to repaint the entire hood and bumper.

If claying and 2-3 passionate applications of ScratchX had no effect, and you can feel the blemish, as in it's a raised area on the surface, then it's starting to sound as though whatever landed on the paint has stained the paint throughout the paint, as in the matrix of the paint and it has also caused the paint to swell thus the reason you can feel it.

This is the kind of problem that if I could be there in person, if it could be fixed, I could fix it for you in a matter of minutes, if not seconds.

It could also be that the problem cannot be safely fixed, not with our products not with any company's products.

It made me think of some type of particulate that had popped through the surface, my mistake on reading into what you wrote, as such I don't think the sanding block is the right tool for his problem. It think if it can be fixed it's going to be,

Multiple applications of ScratchX where you're basically going to have to remove some paint in order to remove the defect, or a having a skilled craftsman carefully wet-sand the area with some #2500 grit finishing paper and then removing their sanding marks from the finish using a rotary buffer.

Wouldn't the G100 with #83 provide some advantage? You won't apply as much pressure, but you can do a lot more passes in a lot less time. Plus you can generate heat if you run the G100 at 6.0, which I know is not recommended. A 4" pad would be helpful in a case like this.

I actually just got in #83 for the first time a couple days ago with an order. Maybe I should try it too? I only have the W8000 pads however.

Is that the yellow polishing pad? That's the one to use. You have nothing to lose, except the paint of course. J/K #83 is very safe.

Sometimes you just have to experiment. I once had some bad water spots on my TA (from using a leaf blower). Nothing would remove them, not even #83 with a G-100! I got a sample of Klasse AIO and tried it. The stubborn water spots came right off!

Yes, the W8000 is the yellow pad. What PC speed do you recommend for #83?

Normally they recommend 5.0, but in your case I would just run it wide open at 6.0. Hang on because it's going to shake a little bit. Press down with 5 lbs of pressure and move the G100 slowly over the spot. Try a few applications of it. Buff until it starts to turn clear, but don't let it dry completely.

to remove dryed bugs i use a bounce dryer sheet wet, try it, i use it on my motorhome it works! Randy
