So today I decided I would polish my camry's finish because swirls were beginning to form. I got out my scratch-x and my #7 show car glaze and got to work. But as I worked it in, more swirls were created by the pad.
I figured this was because of the quality of the pad (just an off brand bought at autozone), so I went to autozone and explained to them my situation.
The guy asked me if I had dampened the pad with water before polishing. I said no, but I would certainly try it.
So as soon as I got home I got to work now using meguiar's even coat applicator (wet) with scratch-x. Results seemed satisfactory, but I was wondering if this is a good technique to use or not? I had never read in any documentation on meguiar's that the applicator had to be wet.
