I use the premixed washer fluid as well. I tried their additive (pink) several years back and found that it quickly came out of solution.

I accidently sprayed FD on the windshield recently, and it's holding up well and has not caused any smearing yet.

I like Rain X. It makes cleaning bug splatter alot easier. Plus, the wiper blades last longer imo - less resistance and less use. I use the applicator now provided with buffing towel. Easy to use.

That's ehat I used, but the water didn't seem to bead as well as it did before every time I used it and it seemed to be gone after about...10 times or so.

Maybe I will just pour an entire bottle of additive in there too

Agreed. Great glass cleaner and it really makes the water bead up and run off the glass very nicely.

I've been using it at least 10 years and love it!!

I use the Rain-X Bug remover fluid in the summer and de-icer in the winter. It does seem to add to it after a few uses. I notice a difference after my wife's car runs out of the dealer fluid and the Rain-X is put in.

I usually apply 2 coats (after wiping the first coat off) and then buff it out pretty good with a clean paper towel on each window twice a year.(fall and spring)

It does tend to leave a smear on the glass unless you really buff it out good or do what the bottle recommends and mist it with water and buff.

Not sure about the newer stuff I have an old spray bottle of the stuff that says 1998 on it!

A little goes a long way!
