  • Question about #83 and nics

I plan on using a PC with the W8006/#83-#80 combo. My question is I have a nic in the paint on my hood up top by the driver side fender from a rock. I also Have a nice chip in the paint on my hood. The black paint seems to be completely gone all I see is white. I should do my BEST to stay clear of these areas when I'm using the combo correct? It could damage the paint even worse?

If it's that deep, then I would steer clear of it. It might damage the polishing pad if it catches the edge of the paint.

How did you get this chip in your paint?.........If you don't mind me asking.

Rocks. both of them. One up top was from when I was stuck behind a dump truck. the other really don't have any idea how it got there i'm just assuming its from a rock.

The reason I asked, is because I had a mower sling a rock (or something) into the hood of my wifes Caravan last year, and chipped off a 50 cent size piece of paint down to the primer!

Fortunately my comprehensive insurance repainted the whole hood at no charge to me.

I carry a zero deductible on my comprehensive insurance just for reasons like that.

Well these marks are pretty small small, but the one on the bottom of the hood is noticable because its white.

That's the same way our's looked......Looks like all of your paint was chipped off down to the primer.
