Swirls after new paint?

Nothing huge or dramatic about the story ..

I had actually asked advice on another forum but kept it down to the fact there was no undercoating of the rust repaired area's and showed a picture of the scratches and mentioned the swirls ... it god sort of escalated because people are like oh th shop is awesome call the owner and get it sorted ..

I did talk to the person I knew at the shop tues, he said bring it down .. the owner actually called on monday after reading this other post .. next to demanded the car be dropped off to have the rust repaired asap ..

The owner called me and was all agressive about the post being there and he was upset .. he said the marks on the fender are buffer marks and can be brought out and that he told me to take it back in a month .. im like uhh .. I was told by the person who handed me the keys and took my cash that the buffing was done and didnt need to come back ...... hooooooooly **** .. if I had known that, I'd still be at ease about everything ..

Anyways, as you guys said a good shop will make it right .. I said to the owner when I dropped it off I wan the rust taken care of and treated properly because I do NOT want it coming back .. I dont know if the car will be buffed yet ..

Got the car back from the shop ..

Though it looks better, thre are still swirl marks on every part of the car. No overspray that landed on the windows has been cleaned up and the areas they missed painting were only touched up and are a visible indent in the paint ...

Undercoating was done but I don't have faith in how well it will hold up.

Definately not a quality job and is not a shop I would recommend to anybody .. oh well what can you do ..

I'm hopin Meg's can aid the rescue with some #9 and a dash of NXT in a few weeks time when the paint has had a good time to cure.

Something to be said about letting the right person use a rotary on a car - especially with new paint.

I don't know what the laws are in Canada, but I would take these people to court.

Like I said, after I polish the car for the first time we'll see if any blue paint comes off .. then i'll demand they re-clear and will firmly request they dont touch it with a buffer.

I took it to the wand wash the other day and gave it a touchless spraydown .. the way the water was beading im very sure they used some type of glaze on it .. I'm going to wait a couple more weeks before I take my wash mit and some dawn detergent to the surface..

If the buffer marks come back on the fender at all then I'll take more agressive action.
