  • Claying prep, before and after.

Does it mater if you use a soap with a wash and wax ingredient before claying? Should I apply an Iron Decon, Clay and then use Surface Prep? After claying, surface prep and then NXT I found a rough spot on the hood of the car using the "hand in a plastic bag" routine. How should I start to redo that spot?

    Thank you in advance

Welcome to MOL. Check out this thread as well about the iron remover.

Hi all I've done a full detail a couple times on my brand new black car which included claying but I've never used an iron removing product such as Iron x on the paint. I've been reading up on these type of products and have a couple questions. 1) Is something like this actually needed or is claying enough? I've read that

You can clay over that area and reapply NXT. You may want to consider adding a polishing step after claying to remove and marring from the claying process.
