Re: Tire Shine and asphalt..
Been doing this for years.....cut 4 pieces of cardboard...slide them under the tires...drove the truck up on them.....my wife asked "How did you get them under the tires?".....I just laughed and looked away....now, though, I no longer user a spray tire shine....so the problem took care of itself

I move mine out to the street and apply it out there. I don't have to worry about protecting the street. Neighbors look at me strangely sometimes lol, but not the weirdest detailing thing I have done. Helps if the street isn't busy too.2017 Lexus RX 350 - Satin Cashmere Metallic

Re: Tire Shine and asphalt..
Suddenly I feel lazy compared to you guys. I just spray the stuff on (ArmourAll Extreme Shine) and try to minimize overspray. We're getting so much rain in the Southeast it's really not necessary to worry about it, though. I do have moon slices of overspray left behind, but those wash away within days. Instead of cardboard, at a show I'd probably try a torn open frozen pizza box (or the like), though, thin enough to get right under the edge of low-profile tires and still get coverage under there.Non-Garaged Daily Driver, DAMF System + M101, Carnauba Finish Enthusiast
